LOVE STORY by Jannie Baltzer

After some extremely busy months, I am so happy to finally show you my 2013 collection. This collection is very special to me, because it is inspired by LOVE! We all need love in our lifes, and I feel very lucky to have just that! My husband is the best, and I love him so much (all the way to the moon and back), and my family and friends have truly supportive during this journey!
I have been inspired by different love stories and the celebration of love. As always I find inspiration from the 1920s and 1930s, but updated to the fashion forward bride of 2013. This collection has exquisitely intricate beadwork and beautiful shades of ivory, blush, champagne, antique silver and gold, and it is all about luminous textures and shine. The look is very young and fresh, but still with the luxury and glamour of the old Hollywood. Enjoy Jannie xo

Ps: I could not have done this shoot without one of my best friends and extremely talented photographer Sandra Åberg! She has been a huge support, and we just work sooo well together! Not to forget the rest of the amazing team, who all worked very very hard to make this shoot special:

Be Inspired, Don´t Copy

Ohhh I have been wanting to write this post for so long, but have been too scared to do it. But today I read a beautiful post from Courtney Dellafiora  (a lovely friend of mine), and I knew, it was time to tell a little about, how I feel.

When I started my brand Jannie Baltzer 2,5 years ago, I was totally on my own. But I had a vision, and I knew, I had something unique to share (please don´t hate me for being so blunt). It has NOT been a smooth ride, and I know, that I only have succeeded by hard work.

I LOVE the creative process, and all the hard work before I launch a new collection. Many many hours have been spent drawing, playing with colors and looking at old movies. Even finding THAT right piece of fabric can take weeks (even months). But this is my time - this is my chance to tell my story as a designer, and to share with you my thoughts & dreams!

In the bridal/fashion industry, it is pretty common to copy other designers work, and there is nothing you can do about it. But it makes me sad, when I work so hard to create something unique, and I see almost the same piece from other designers. Not a 100% copy, but there is no doubt, where they got their inspiration from. I guess, I should feel flattered (and dont get me wrong, I am truly grateful, when people tell me, that they like my work), but I get a little sad, when I discover other designers copying my designs.

Truly successful people are the ones who worked hard, didn’t take shortcuts and didn’t steal.

With love...
Jannie
Ps: I have already asked the lovely Courtney Dellafiora, if I could use some of her text.

The art of AMAZING service ♥

What is AMAZING sevice? I often wonder, why there is such a lack of service in many Bridal Boutiques. Getting married is such a big deal, and something many woman have dreamed about, since they were little girls! So when you book an appointment to try on dresses, you expect to be welcomed with a smile, patience, understanding, honsty, kindness and experience an unique and professional service - oh yes and a glas of Champagne will make any woman feel fabulous!

I have just started working with an amazing Bridal Boutique in Lausanne, Switzerland. Olga the owner is such a lovely and sweet person, and her way of welcoming her brides is just outstanding! Not only is her Boutique just exquisite, but she knows excately how to treat her clients (but it feels so right, because she does with her heart and soul). Please enjoy these beautiful pictures from the opening of Belle En Blanc in Lausanne♥

Beautiful Olga ♥

I love the fact, that Olga had beautiful models showing dresses & accessories - it adds that extra touch of glamour!

My Ellette is beautiful styled!

Vintage Bride & Jannie Baltzer

Oh wow - it has been some pretty amazing but crazy months for me! I have been extremely busy, and sometimes I have been working all night to get my work done...but I just love it!

My dear friend Maria from Vintage Bride has just opened her Bridal Boudoir in Copenhagen, and we wanted to celebrate that together. So we invited old and new clients, journalist, bloggers and friends to the Grand Opening, where we served delicious food from the amazing chef Rasmus Kjær & Champagne from Möet & Chandon.

We had such a lovely evening, and I really want to thank everybody for making this event so special. Now enjoy these sweet pictures from the talented photographer Amanda Thomsen.

A huge thank you to the oh so talented chef Rasmus Kjær for the delicious food.

I mean how cute are these 3 baby boys!!!
